
As one of the things to be posted are the events of this week Madrid Gay Pride 2009.
July 1 started the activities in the Barrio of Chueca. Opening up to various areas like Plaza de Chueca in which Boriz Isaguirre and Soraya open up the festival . Soraya Arnelas former Operacion Triunfo and who represented Eurovision 2009 this year animated the event. Plaza de Chueca is the heart of the GLBT district where thousand of people conglomerated to enjoy the music and the shows courtesy of the organizers of MADO (madrid orgullo). Chueca is decorated with rainbow flags, each and every corner of the street and bars line up infront with their refreshments and cocktails to refresh the summer heat! DJ’S with the disco beats of techo, to Michael Jackson “Beat It” sounds up every corner of Calle Libertad and Calle Pelayo.
Along Plaza de Vazquez Mella, Cayetana Guillem Cuervo started the event. Together with other Djs and music accompanied her and people are dancing to the beat. Stand up bars like The Paso, Medaigual, Txueca, Cogam line up for drinks and cocktails, Fundacion Triangulo too has its booth for awareness. To the left of the stage the facade of Hotel Oscar covered with rainbow colours too!

Day 2 : July 2. Pelayo Street. Calle Pelayo. This street is also known in Madrid. you can see the A Different Life, GLBT bookstore from movies, books, calendars etc. You can see also The Eagle, a Leather Bar. SaunaMen, a sauna for young ones! if you try to have a look! They had here yesterday the Carrera de Tacones. High-heel Run. wherein men who will wear womens dress with their high heels and join the run!
