Christian E. De Lima (1982, Manila) works in a callcenter, loves films, blogging and photography. One of his likes as well is modelling. He also joined the contest Kouros 2006 where he won the internet voting award.

From my first feature here last 2006. Excerpt from Cookie Jar 1st feature of BOR.

Christian posed to the photographer Ruel Calvelo. Shots in lights in one of the rooftop of the busy metropolitan manila. Christian posed with the elements of knots, and black and white shots in industrial type. What more can you ask.

Summer 2009 // Milan, Italy

 

My summer of 2009 was in Milan, Italy. I travelled with my 5 friends, one of them 2 of them i always travelled during summer. It was 2 years ago we went to Palma de Mallorca Island in Balleares, Spain. Last year me and my other friend went to Amsterdam, The Netherland and this year the 3 of us again reunited in Milan, Italy.

Some say that Milan is dark and grey. Old building and quite dull, but on the contrary Milan is the shopping and fashion capital of Italy. From the top fashion areas and known Quadrilatero D’Oro….if you have money to spend why not here!!!!

Aside from that One of the best built church in Lombardy is the Duomo. The fascade are great representing its biblical based and religious icons. And you mersemerized with the view inside and the top over looking the centre of Milan.

Next to it is the Galeria Vittorio Emmanuel with is Dome!!

Party at night in one of the glam strip of Corso Como! And another early night stroll to the Barrio of Naviglio! ride with its tram and its buses all long way!!

Milan has a lot to offer. A day excursion to Lago Di Como as we did while we were there!!! its magnificent!!!

Wines & Champagnes in San Miguel

The other day and its so hot in Madrid, I went out with Peruvian friend Miguel and American friend Joana in one sunday afternoon. If you have been to Madrid and you’ve pass by Mercado San Miguel, they have restored that old market place into a new one, more modern and cosmopolitan. They offer there foods like olives, cheeses, jamon, chipirones and etc. They event had good pastries and delicacies so when you come to Madrid. Its worth a visit. Well back to the event, well as i can say we where there to chill out and had wines and a glasses of champagne and we meet this cool group of people. Like people said “  Madrid Abierto ” Madrid Open, to every people. We met Ismael, Carlos, Noiysi, Pedro, Fernando, and some other guys from Germany on the other table. We ended up good together that time. Since summer a good glass of Tinto de Verano is worthy now its too hot in Madrid.

This coming weeks i will be in Hiatus as holiday comes around! So Enjoy Summer!

Madrid Gay Pride 2009

Last Saturday July 4,2009, The Madrid Pride started at Puerta de Alcala ending up in Plaza España with more than 32 floats. and all the streets of Gran Via are crowded with people. Another year of success i guess. This year aim is equality at school. Respect and equal rights. The streets again full of flags in their colours. Enjoy the pics!

Ismael Alvarez : In Yer Face // BOR Exclusive

Ismael Alvarez is a comic artist. He works as an illustrator, designer and a comic book artist. He has released recently his compilation called ” In Yer Face”, a compilations of his works, drawings and illustrations from the Bruno Gmunger Editorial. Last time i had a chance to meet him and congratulate him for his work.

Box of Recollections …. Goes 2 Years!!!!

 

Box of recollections goes 2nd year blog anniversary and i wanna thank for all the people who continue to support and glancing my blog, for this year 2007 many things happened, travels, acquaintances, new friends, parties, birthdays, shows, blogmates and friends. To mention at this, thanks for my inspirations for this blog. Ohlala Paris and Casual Istanbul,.. to my designers, Chase and Dazedblu, to my best pal Alexander con mucho amor, otro amigo de oriente, Lester.. thanks for the wonderful Eternal Summer… Up to the north.. Freshmess, Rennyba.. This year i have travelled to Portugal, Philippines, Mallorca, Amsterdam, Barcelona .. and exciting to meet places…. And the bloggers meet up in Manila with Cookie jar, Cadet Dugumon and Gbert….

FROM MANCHESTER TO MADRID // JOSEF, JOANA, ME

This weekend was fantastic. My friend Josef from Manchester who visited me here in Madrid. And yes, we have something in common, of course ” The Talented Mr. Ripley”.. That film too was his favorite. He told me that he was Tom Ripley as he likes Matt Damon and well I like Jude Law so therefore I am Dickie Greenleaf ( all of you who haven’t seen the film, I recommend it to you guys to see it).. The setting was not in Italy but in this town in Madrid called Chueca… ( I hope of those people who traveled to Madrid, they know Chueca what is it)..

His adventures started in

“Why Not”.. a bar underground that played music latest pop songs like Madonna, Kyle…etc to Spanish pop songs… next was

“Royal Cool Ballroom” big disco with two floors and dance techo, surely you love it

“Reina Bruja” a good place to Chill out…

“Delirious”… sit back and relax, and chill out sunday late night

“Diurno” a video club, cafe and snack bar

“Cruising” .. no need for explanations… lol

“Cafe Mama Ines” if you love cafe with a candle lit table and mellow music… u should be here..

ooops, before i forget…. We were accompanied by Joanna ( a friend of mine from Texas, USA),…defintely she was Marge….

So…we will missed you Josef… Hope the next stop would be my turn in Manchester!

Box of Recollections started last November 2005 and I booked this blog Casual in Istanbul as one of my inspiration together with Ohlalablog of Steph and Alek. Your blog does not only connect people from Europe and Asia as Istanbul as its focal point but across the world. You have given us inspiration to write down our own ideas and works. And not only that, you have open your door as well for a nice friendship and encouragement.

I know that you guys loves Spain as well so i make a collage from it. Taken from the post in your blog. Indeed this is not the end as they say. Goodbye doesn’t mean forever. We will see each other soon! As promised!
