One minute of the film gives you some flashbacks of what happened the previous night but all you can see is all shadows and you couldn’t put all the puzzle to solve. This is the story of a man. One autumn morning, a guy woke up naked in a slum area in Montreal. He doesn’t remember anything what happened that night.The only thing he knew was he was gay. He called an SOS gay hotline to help him. Then he stayed in a flat of one volunteer. He friends an old lady as if the lady reminds him as her son. Little by little flashbacks came to his senses as he claims to be James Brighton (lets see later why).

As the story began to put into pieces. He was on the national television telling his stories. And soon his identity reveals that he was Michael Honeycutt from the USA. A small town where he grew up with his family and a brother who is a preacher. James Brighton was a guy whom he had met from his escape going to Montreal that time. At the end he was reunited with his family.

As this was based on original events. It is really hard to have an anmesia as if you dont know everything and start from zero. How could this be if it happens to you? Doubt? Would you go back to the reality or try to adopt the new one? It’s up to you to choose. This movie won some international awards. The actor Dusan Dukic gave an impressive performance.

You’ve done such a good things not only to your former relationship but also to the people around you that is why they love you so much. You make them happy too, and in return surely you will be rewarded. Your so sweet and kind, Your romantic at the same time. So cheer up and continue, you can find the right person who can appreciate all your sacrifices and will understand you whole heartedly and accept you of who you are. Being in a relationship is a quite difficult, you have to accept the fact that there will be a changes, sometimes there are things that your are doing before you commit will have to change. and accept it in order to have a good relatioship, learning process.  Anyway. Synopsis:

Eyes Wide Open is a love story of Aaron and Ezri in a ultra Orthodox Jewish community in the capital Jerusalem. A love story between to men..

Aaron (38), a respectable butcher in Jerusalem’s ultra-Orthodox community, is married to Rivka (28) and a dedicated father to four children.

After his father’s death, Aaron is looking for assistance in his business when a handsome and homeless Yeshiva (religious school) student, Ezri (19), comes upon the butcher shop by chance.

Aaron decides to be Ezri’s patron: he hires him, teaches him the craft of slaughtering, and houses Ezri in the shop’s back room. Aaron invites Ezri to meals in his home and introduces him to the community. When they go together to a remote “Mikve” (a sacred ritual bath), an intimate moment occurs between them.

From this moment onwards, Aaron knows no peace. Spending more and more time with Ezri, Aaron starts neglecting his family and community life until he is completely swept away in a whirlpool of love and lust for Ezri.

While Rivka suspects that something is wrong with Aaron, Rabbi Vaisben, (56) a family friend and the head of the community, tries to warn Aaron of the future to come if he won’t expel Ezri. But Aaron refuses.

Unwilling to tolerate Ezri’s presence, the “Modesty Guards”, a radical authority in the Ultra-Orthodox community, threaten Aaron.

Under enormous pressure that Rivka and the community operate on him, Aaron comes to a decision to commit an irreversible act….

Eyes Wide Open will premiere in Spain in FIRE festival in Barcelona. It premiered in Cannes Film Festival Un Certain Regards, and showed already in Karlovy, Toronto, and Palm Spring.

No Pants 2010 Madrid Metro

Last Sunday, even though it was freezing here in Madrid, some had participated the ” No Pants in subway”. Participants entered the metro of Madrid in Nuevos Ministerios going to Plaza España, From the Blue line to The yellow line.  People are shocked and surprise when they were inside the metro and they have removed their pants. Some smiles and some take photos. Other tourist even participated inside the metro.

14th Lesgaicinemad 2009

14th Festival Internacional de Cine Lesbico Gai y Transexual in Madrid is now on the road! The 14th Gay and Lesbian film festival had already their line ups this coming Oct 29, 2009 to Nov 8, 2009. For more than 105 films, from Feature length films, Short Films and Documentaries.

Here are some of the film Features:

Soundless Wind Chimes, Ander, Eating All Out, Shank, Rabioso Sol,Rabioso Cielo.

This year the festival will give award to the director Ventura Pons for his career. Pons is known for his films like Amic/ Amat,  Caricias, Manjar de Amor (Food of Love), Forasters.

Madrid Gay Pride 2009

Last Saturday July 4,2009, The Madrid Pride started at Puerta de Alcala ending up in Plaza España with more than 32 floats. and all the streets of Gran Via are crowded with people. Another year of success i guess. This year aim is equality at school. Respect and equal rights. The streets again full of flags in their colours. Enjoy the pics!

Ismael Alvarez : In Yer Face // BOR Exclusive

Ismael Alvarez is a comic artist. He works as an illustrator, designer and a comic book artist. He has released recently his compilation called ” In Yer Face”, a compilations of his works, drawings and illustrations from the Bruno Gmunger Editorial. Last time i had a chance to meet him and congratulate him for his work.

Madrid Pride Week 2009

Every year at the end of June and first week of July people are waiting for this event. The festive of Colours!! red, blue, yellow. More to say the flag of the rainbow waiving up high to the Madrid Sky. This event the Gay Pride 2009!! Madrid hosted 2 years ago the Europride were Madrid is the center of the eye of the countries in Europe. This year again, the city is waiting for the turn up of millions of people. not only from the GLBT community but also tourists from all over the world. Madrid is a city with tolerance and freedom. This event known to be the 3rd largest hosting the pride from the world next to Sao Paulo, Brazil and New York City.

The heart of the event will be centred to the barrio of CHUECA!! There will be street concert and events wherein different artist, singers, actors will inagurate the event starting July 1, 2009. Calle Pelayo and Calle Libertad will be included. Plaza de Chueca, Plaza del Rey and Plaza de Vazquez Mella.

There will be parallel events organized by the group MADO and Infinitamente 09. MTV Day will be Kylie Minogue Presentation. Space and Sala Macumba Spit of Fire and some of the names like Colton Ford, Francesco D’Macho and Martin Mazza. LesMadrid 09. Bear Pride 2009.

The event of the selection of Mr. Gay Pride 2009 will be held in Plaza de Vazquez Mella on Friday.

Keys and Coffee

Dear JJNN,

It’s been a month or so that we haven’t seen each other. I remember the ” Four Elements TM” didn’t had the chance to meet. I have done all the magical powers to conquer them back but there is no more power. The last time I’ve met Earth and Water was the last calling of the Kingdom. But Since Wind didn’t come to the calling, its incomplete but they have introduce to the wind a possible ” Fifth and the Sixth Element” but on the contrary their powers are not that strong enough. They are newbie in learning the powers that the four already known.  But then again I’ve seen potentials of the other one. The calling was held in their famous cafe . Two coffees are waiting for them, We have waited and waited but our patience is gone. Our powers decline. Wind and Fire are always present. They have the keys but waiting for their GODDESS to come and asked them to be with them forever. Gone but not forgetten.
